Richmond Pregnancy Shoot

I did this maternity shoot of my friend, Jenny, several years ago. She was about 35 weeks pregnant and so beautiful. We chose to take the pictures on the James River, using the sunrise as a tool to highlight her long-anticipated son. We shot for about 45 minutes, using several different ideas for poses. The shots turned out beautifully. I love these pictures and wanted to display them for you all here. When I contacted Jenny to make sure she was okay with my displaying these on my website, her response was, "Of course!...but make sure I look good." I had to laugh, because, as you can see, Jenny is tall, thin and carries herself very well. Her elegant body looks even more beautiful as she waited to meet her growing, baby boy. I remember getting coffee afterwards and us tearing up as we looked through the pictures. She was the first of my friends to have a baby and the beauty of such a powerful portrait of her pregnancy was a very emotional moment for both of us. Thank you, Jenny!
